Annarie Lyles is a biologist, investor, and board leader dedicated to advancing planet-positive innovation and healthy living systems. As Managing Director of Bio-Gist Ventures, she leads seed-stage investments in clean technology and health-focused companies, supporting solutions that address pollution, disease prevention, food security, and resource efficiency. With a career spanning science, business development, and venture investing, Annarie brings a systems-level perspective to building companies that enhance both human and environmental well-being. She is also Board Chair and Life Member of Investors Circle, one of the longest-standing impact investing networks, where she supports capital deployment into mission-driven ventures.
Annarie’s career includes senior leadership roles in the biotechnology sector, including serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Business Development at Genmab, where she led major partnerships that brought breakthrough cancer therapies to market. Earlier, she spent a decade with the Wildlife Conservation Society, contributing to conservation and species sustainability initiatives. A co-founder of Solaris Cybernetics, she is also advancing innovative technologies such as aquatic robots designed to mitigate harmful algal blooms. With a Ph.D. in Biology from Princeton University and decades of board service across nonprofit and for-profit organizations, Annarie continues to champion solutions that enable a more regenerative and flourishing future for all life.
