Chris Crothers
Chris Crothers joined the Jessie Ball duPont Fund in 2013 and is the Director of Impact Investing and a Senior Program Officer. Crothers oversees the Fund’s $50 million impact carve out within the Fund’s endowment, which includes program- and mission-related investments and ESG-screened investments. He also leads the Fund’s work as a founding member of the national Community Investment Guarantee Pool, The Northeast Florida Impact Investors Exchange, and the JAX Microfinance Fund. Chris is an internal resource on exploring opportunities to expand affordable housing, building reuse, entrepreneurship, credit enhancements, and general community development activities.
Crothers has worked and learned alongside numerous leaders in the philanthropic sector on issues of equity and leadership, participating in Change Leaders in Philanthropy through Grantmakers for Effective Organizations; Council on Foundations’ Career Pathways cohort; and Southeastern Council of Foundations’ Hull Fellow program. He received a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in (Computer) Management Information Systems. Crothers is a husband, father of two, avid music collector, drummer, foodie, and recovering entrepreneur.
