Eric A. Cox II

Eric A. Cox II is a seasoned operator, attorney, and growth leader at the intersection of venture capital, startups, and regulated investment crowdfunding. As Chief Operating Officer at Netcapital, he oversees day-to-day operations, drives strategic initiatives, and optimizes platform performance to help early-stage companies raise capital while maintaining strict compliance with federal securities laws. Previously serving as Head of Growth and Head of West Coast Initiatives, Eric has played a key role in scaling Netcapital’s ecosystem—bridging product, marketing, finance, and business development to expand access to startup investing for both founders and investors.

In addition to his leadership at Netcapital, Eric serves as Counsel at SSM Law, advising venture funds and technology companies on emerging company law, capital markets, and M&A. He is also an active contributor to the broader crowdfunding ecosystem as a Board Member and Growth Committee Co-Chair of the Crowdfunding Professional Association. A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Eric combines deep expertise in securities regulation with a passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and democratizing access to capital.
