Sharon Samjitsingh

Sharon Samjitsingh is the CEO of Health Care Originals (HCO), with over 25 years of experience in successfully commercializing innovative technologies across manufacturing, sustainability, and healthcare. She has a proven track record of building and scaling large teams, and she has successfully deployed novel technologies in various fields and countries where others have not succeeded.

Sharon holds an MS from the University of Rochester, jointly issued by the Hajim School of Engineering and the Simon School, and a B.Sc. from the University of The West Indies, Faculty of Engineering. She is one of fewer than 3,000 people globally to hold triple accreditation of PMP®, PMI-SP®, and PMI-RMP®.

Before leading HCO, Sharon managed an innovation and capital projects portfolio of $150M spanning 14 different industries. Her unique insights and experience have positioned her as a patent holder in the sustainability and healthcare spaces. Her leadership extends to international trade, having led a joint venture between two international conglomerates.

Recognized for her contributions, Sharon was named TechRochester’s Technology Woman of the Year in 2020 and one of the Top 100 in Fem Tech and Health Tech in 2019 by Women of Wearables. Along with others like Jane Goodall, Katherine Blurr Blodgett and Sheryl Sandberg, she is featured on the Names Dress, a conceptual art piece celebrating women's accomplishments in STEAM fields, displayed at the Ferragamo Museum in Florence, Italy.

Sharon is a WBL Fellow, part of the prestigious cohort recognized by Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation. She has served as Chairperson at the World Conference Forum’s Population Health Management Conference and has spoken at various Wearable Technologies Conferences.
