Dara Westling
Dara Westling (she/her/hers) leads Investor Relations for TechSoup.org’s investor community. She recently completed a successful $11.5M capital campaign which included a direct public offering relying on the SEC's Regulation A+/Tier II exemption. She also supports core fundraising for the TechSoup Global Network (TSGN) which has matched 1.4M nonprofit organizations with over $16B in tech donations and services in 200+ countries and territories worldwide. Dara previously served on TechSoup’s executive team, supporting a variety of global initiatives. In addition, she has consulted and advised on crowdinvesting projects, including Guerrilla Development’s mixed-use development project, Jolene’s First Cousin, which was designed, in part, to help address Portland, Oregon’s growing homelessness problem. She has also served on a crowdfunding advisory committee at the State of Oregon’s Division of Financial Regulation to explore the evolution of crowdfunding exemptions. In addition, Dara previously co-founded Oregon Impact Capital Roundtable (OICR). OICR is a gathering of entrepreneurs, technicians and investors interested in supporting a vibrant and inclusive economy in Oregon. OICR convenings are a resource for learning about financial innovation and also a space to collectively evaluate systemic barriers underserved entrepreneurs face when seeking capital. A small business owner, Dara has a MBA, a master’s in public and international affairs, and a certificate in impact investing.
