Lyneir Richardson is co-founder and CEO of The Chicago TREND Corporation, which expands community ownership of neighborhood shopping centers in urban areas - structuring deals that have empowered more than 340 Black residents and small impact investors to co-own five shopping centers in Chicago and Baltimore. A veteran urban retail developer, he began as a corporate attorney at First National Bank of Chicago, founded Lakeshore Development Construction (earning SBA Illinois Young Entrepreneur of the Year), and led Newark's economic development corporation under two mayors. He teaches at Rutgers Business School, directs its Center for Urban Entrepreneurship, and is a graduate of Bradley University and University of Chicago Law School.
