Arup Roy-Burman

Arup Roy-Burman, MD, is the founding CEO and current Chief Strategy & Medical Officer of Elemeno Health. A pediatric physician and Professor of Pediatrics at UCSF, he spent years as Medical Director of a quaternary-care academic ICU, where repeated root-cause analyses of adverse events showed the same pattern: leadership often knew the right practice, but staff struggled to apply it at the bedside. That pattern, sharpened by the loss of his sister to a preventable medical error decades earlier, drove him to build a mobile support tool for nurses and frontline staff.

Drawing inspiration from enterprise SaaS and social-media applications, he founded Elemeno to deliver just-in-time microlearning that empowers staff at the point of need. In 2024, Arup recruited current CEO Tim Coulter to lead the company's next stage of growth. Tim brings more than two decades of leadership experience in health technology and enterprise software. During his tenure, Elemeno has earned back-to-back recognition on the Inc. 5000.
