Aaron Shafton is Managing Director at DealMaker Securities, where he helps founders and brands raise capital directly from the communities that believe in them. Over more than six years with DealMaker, Aaron has held leadership roles spanning growth, marketing and sales enablement, marketplace development, strategy and operations—giving him a uniquely comprehensive view of how companies build successful community-powered capital campaigns.
His earlier experience includes roles with Shopify, Capital One, Procter & Gamble, and the Ontario ministries responsible for finance and economic development. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto’s Rotman Commerce program and maintains Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 securities registrations.
